Deeper explanation
A concussion is a functional brain injury caused by forces transmitted to the brain. In an auto accident, the head can accelerate and decelerate quickly enough to produce concussion symptoms without striking anything.
Common signs include headaches, brain fog, difficulty concentrating, light or noise sensitivity, dizziness, sleep changes, and emotional changes.
